Summary

                    WHEREAS, the Town of Palisade is a political subdivision of the State of Colorado, and therefore an eligible applicant for a grant awarded by FEMA STAFFING FOR ADEQUATE FIRE AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE; and WHEREAS, the Town of Palisade has submitted a Grant Application for Staffing For Adequate Fire and Emergency Response, requesting a total award of $1,302,000; and WHEREAS, the Town of Palisade supports the completion of the project if a grant is awarded by FEMA.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN OF PALISADE BOARD OF TRUSTEES THAT:

                    1. The above recitals are hereby incorporated as findings by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Palisade, Colorado.

2. The Board of Trustees of the Town of Palisade, Colorado, strongly supports the Grant Application submitted by the Town of Palisade, for this grant with FEMA.

3. If the grant is awarded, the Town of Palisade strongly supports the completion of the project.

4. The Board of Trustees of the Town of Palisade, Colorado, authorizes the expenditure of funds necessary to meet the terms and obligations of any grant awarded pursuant to a Grant Agreement with FEMA.

5. If a grant is awarded, the Board of Trustees of the Town of Palisade, Colorado hereby authorizes the Palisade Mayor to sign a Grant Agreement with FEMA.
