Summary

                    Section 1. That Section 2-262 of the Palisade Municipal Code, concerning appointment, removal and qualifications of the Park and Recreation Advisory Board, is hereby amended to read as follows:

Sec. 2-262. Appointment; removal; qualifications.

One (1) member shall be an elected official of the Town appointed by the Board of Trustees who shall be an ex officio member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and shall serve during his or her respective official tenure or until replaced by action of the Board of Trustees.

                    The ex officio member shall not be a voting member of the Board and his/her attendance shall not be counted towards determining a quorum of the Board. In addition to the ex-officio member, the Park and Recreation Advisory Board shall consist of nine (9) members appointed by the Board of Trustees. Membership shall be representative of the various recreational activities prevalent in the Town. Members need not be residents of the Town. Members shall serve at the pleasure of the Board of Trustees and may be removed from the Park and Recreation Advisory Board with or without cause by a majority vote of the Board of Trustees. 

The next item on this agenda is the consideration of a citizen for the Park and Recreation Advisory Board. Should the Board approve Ordinance #2018-08, they may also choose to appoint William “Bill” Alderman immediately, if you choose to.
